Originally from the the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. This is a powerful hardneck garlic that delivers a robust pungency that tones down when cooked, while still holding a big garlic taste.  This variety has thick white-wrapped skin with purple accents. It produces beautiful scapes in the spring that are a wonderful addition to spring menus.
